2020 Hall of Fame Inductions Cap Daylong Events
The Central Virginia Soccer Referee Association (CVSRA) is honored to induct Scott Anderson, Tom Long, Jr., and Tish Schrock as its 2020 Hall of Fame class. The three longtime pillars of the area’s soccer officiating community were inducted last evening to a packed room. Over years and years the three individually demonstrated an overwhelming devotion to the development of area youth through sports.
The recognition of Scott's, Tom's, and Tish's welcoming into the CVSRA Hall of Fame was a perfect capstone to full day of CVSRA events bettering the soccer community.
Brian Smith, President of CVSRA said, “We are working just as hard off the field as we do on. Today was a sunrise to sunset affair. We prepared the future of officials with a special youth referee workshop. We partnered with our high school clients and officials with our annual coaches’ symposium. We trained our scholastic officials for the spring with our pre-season scholastic banquet. And this evening we celebrated the lifetime accomplishments of three amazing people giving back to their community.”
The day’s events kick off the spring season where CVSRA is not only providing officials for the area’s soccer leagues but also regionally and nationally recognized events such as the Ultimate Cup, Colonial Cup, CVSA Cup and Copa Bruce Cup, VHSL post-season, and the Jefferson Cup.
